Pidgely is an email API for developers. Send transactional and broadcast email with the [official SDKs](https://docs.pidgely.com/sdks/) for Node.js, Python, PHP, Go and Ruby, with plain HTTP, or through SMTP. Already sending with another provider? The API follows the conventions you know, so [migrating](https://docs.pidgely.com/guides/migrate-from-resend/) is mostly a configuration change.

Behind the API, Pidgely runs **its own MTA**. It signs DKIM per domain, aligns SPF through a return-path subdomain, separates transactional and broadcast traffic into their own IP pools, warms new IPs up gradually and processes bounces and complaints itself.

> [!NOTE]
> Pidgely is in **early access**. Accounts are being enabled in waves: [request access](https://pidgely.com/#waitlist). Everything on this site describes behaviour that exists today; features that are not available yet are marked as such.

## Start here

- **[Quickstart](https://docs.pidgely.com/quickstart/)**: verify a domain and send your first email in a couple of minutes, in Node.js, Python, PHP, Go, Ruby or cURL.
- **[SDKs](https://docs.pidgely.com/sdks/)**: install and configure the official SDK for your language.
- **[Migrate from Resend](https://docs.pidgely.com/guides/migrate-from-resend/)**: move existing code and data over, plus the differences worth knowing.
- **[API reference](https://docs.pidgely.com/api-reference/)**: every endpoint, generated from the [OpenAPI 3.1 document](https://docs.pidgely.com/openapi.yaml).

## What you can do

| Capability | Where to read |
|---|---|
| Send transactional email: single, batch of up to 100, scheduled with natural language (`in 1 hour`), attachments from base64 or a URL | [Sending email](https://docs.pidgely.com/guides/sending/) |
| Authenticate your domain with DKIM, an aligned return path (SPF) and DMARC | [Domains & DNS](https://docs.pidgely.com/guides/domains/) |
| Store reusable templates with typed variables, drafts and published versions | [Templates](https://docs.pidgely.com/guides/templates/) |
| Manage contacts and segments, send broadcasts with personalization and one-click unsubscribe | [Contacts](https://docs.pidgely.com/guides/contacts/), [Broadcasts](https://docs.pidgely.com/guides/broadcasts/) |
| Receive signed webhooks for deliveries, bounces, complaints and contact changes | [Webhooks](https://docs.pidgely.com/guides/webhooks/) |
| Send through SMTP from any framework (`smtp.pidgely.com`) | [SMTP relay](https://docs.pidgely.com/guides/smtp/) |
| Keep bad addresses out automatically with the suppression list | [Suppressions](https://docs.pidgely.com/guides/suppressions/) |

## What is not available yet

So that nothing misbehaves silently, these features are either rejected or documented as inert:

- **Open and click tracking.** The flags are accepted and always reported as `false`; `email.opened` and `email.clicked` webhooks never fire.
- **Inbound email** (receiving domains, inboxes, `email.received`).
- **Automations**, topics, contact imports, logs and a few other endpoints listed in [Migrate from Resend](https://docs.pidgely.com/guides/migrate-from-resend/#not-supported-yet).

## Basics

- **Base URL:** `https://api.pidgely.com`
- **Authentication:** `Authorization: Bearer pdg_<prefix>_<secret>` ([Authentication](https://docs.pidgely.com/authentication/))
- **Format:** JSON request and response bodies, UTF-8
- **Errors:** `{"statusCode", "name", "message"}` ([Errors](https://docs.pidgely.com/errors/))
- **Lists:** cursor pagination with `limit`, `after` and `before` ([Pagination](https://docs.pidgely.com/pagination/))

## For AI assistants and agents

Every page of these docs is also available as plain Markdown: add `.md` to the URL (for example [/quickstart.md](https://docs.pidgely.com/quickstart.md)) or use the **Copy page as Markdown** button. [`/llms.txt`](https://docs.pidgely.com/llms.txt) indexes all pages and [`/llms-full.txt`](https://docs.pidgely.com/llms-full.txt) contains all of them in one file. The [MCP server](https://docs.pidgely.com/mcp/) (preview) lets agents send email and manage resources directly.
